I came across a great site this week called Pitchu Pitchu where they make homemade organic pet food. At Pitchu Pitchu, it's obvious they love animals, as they believe our pets deserve the very best food. All orders are made-to-order with only fresh organic human grade ingredients, giving the highest quality food for dogs and cats. Plus for every order received, they donate $1 to places that also love pets, such as Stray from the Heart.
This is a great site that's worth checking out for your dog or cat's health.

Dogs are going organic too! Lucky dogs! By the way, do drop in http://steptpg.blogspot.com/2007/10/hot-dogs.html for some hot dogs~!
Yes they are. It's about time we seriously look at what we're feeding our best friends, because the meat and chemicals that commercial pet food makers are using is hurting our pets. Thanks for visiting-you have a great blog too
I have been feeding my dogs Eagle Pack organic for several years. It has anti oxidents/vitamins and minerals, no wheat. It is considered also "human grade", that is that is doesn't include waste from slaughter houses like other dogs foods contain. I understand there are only a handful of "Human grade" dog foods in the country. I also add the glucosasime and chrondrotin liquid from Costco pharmacy area- a little each day. I have been doing this because of the serious health problems my dogs have had. One has glaucoma and spindle cell sarcoma, one had a stroke, the other has torn ligaments in his hind legs (he runs like a bat out of hell which started his legs problems). I'm trying my best to keep them maximally healthy and we are holding steady so far. One vet actually said the cancer/glaucoma dog is looking incredible for what he's been through. Fingers crossed for continued success.
Thanks. I'm going to check this out. My little dog is definitely have problems. Now that summer's over, I know it's not the random flea. I bathed her today in oatmeal and used conditioner, but an hour later she started getting itchy again. I'm going to go organic and I'll give you the results.
Notary public,
Sounds like you are covering all the bases with your dog's nutrition, and I really believe it's key to a dog's health. I agree with you on the human grade food being important-I feel the junk they put in commercial dog food is behind the majority of our pets illnesses and it's criminal that they continue to do so. I'm so glad to hear that your dog's health is improving or holding it's own-that's a testiment to the food in itself. Thanks for visiting.

kab625,
I think the food change will help your dog tremendously as it did my Abby. I thought she had fleas, then an inhalant allergy which she was treated for for years, and a simple change in her food has solved it all. The symptoms of the different allergies can be similar; check out my post today on inhallant allergies symptoms too. But I feel a diet change is the first line of defense. Thansk for visiting.
Chris
Thanks! Maybe she's allergic to the cat! (lol)
Kab625,
Funny, I remember wondering that myself with Abby. It's a real trial and error process figuring out what's causing the itching. But it all keeps going back to the food I think. Good luck to you.
Chris
Thanks for the info! I know I treat my Pom like he's my child, so I def. need to start thinking more about what I feed him! Thanks again! :)
I've learned it can really make a difference in their health. thanks for visiting.
