Sparky's survival story

Sparky, also known as Spartacus, has graciously shared with us the heartbreaking story of his early beginnings. His early weeks of life were not good ones, filled with the loss of his mother and litter mates, along with suffering from Parvo virus, and other illnesses. But that was more than 2 years ago; he fought back and survived, and is part of a loving family with sisters Crikit and Ginger. Look at what a beautiful healthy boy he is now.

Sparky shared what it was like for him when he was only a few weeks old having to deal with the worst that life has to offer. It is a very compelling story, and it will probably bring a tier or two to your eyes, but well worth it. Read about his struggles and his happy ending in it's entirety here.

Together, Sparky, Crikit and Ginger author Barking Loud . It's a very entertaining blog of their "mutt mutiny" with many adorable pictures of the dogs' antics, and clever narration from their point of view. I recommend you check it out.

That is a very typical story about a dog born as a stray. They are subjected to all type of cruelty.

Its always heartwarming to hear about happy ever after story like this one.

    Hi Sparky,
It was our mom's pleasure to write about you; she appreciates your nice words about her. But you are the star of the piece. We were so sad reading your story, and glad you are all better. Thank God for the rescue groups and the people who sacrifice their time so we doggies can have a second chance, eh? Merry Christmas, Sparkster!

Great blog and really great pictures. It's fun to read! By the way, mama says to say a special "hello" to Abby as mama says she's my cousin. I think that has something to do with my being part Cocker, but I'm not sure....

    Hi Izzie,
So we're cousins aye...I thought you looked like you had cocker spaniel in you - that makes you extra special indeed. Glad you enjoy our blog, and we're looking forward to telling your rescue story next week. Meanwhile, have a Merry Christmas!
