We are deeply saddened that our dear friend Lacy Lulu Hudson passed away Wednesday, March 19. Lacy was 14 years old and it was risky for her to go under anaesthesia for a hemotoma in her ear, but there was no other option, and unfortunately she did not survive the surgery.
We will miss your sweet face, and your compassionate and giving nature around the blogosphere Lacy. Although we are sad, we know you're running and playing happily with all the other beloved pets that have gone before you. Give Fritzy a big lick for us-he'll love it.

Oh how horrible!!! Samuel recently had the same surgery. It's hard to remember that even surgery for a hematoma on an ear is not "simple" surgery. I'm so sorry for her loss.

All of us dog bloggers are going to miss Lacy's sweet nature and kindness she always showed for us. I still can't believe she's gone, and hope it's getting easier for Claudette and her husband without Lacy around. I know the feeling only too well.

How sad to lose a pet! We have been through the loss of a dear cat and it is absolutely heart wrenching.
Our thoughts are with you as you grieve. We have found that our memories of her provide a great comfort.
