Pet hospitals teaming with Meals on Wheels

Banfield, the Pet Hospital is a private veterinary practice with hospitals in communities all over the United States. They have teamed up with Meals on Wheels (MOWAA) for a national pet food drive called Season of Suppers. This program was developed to help feed the pets of senior citizens that receive meals on wheels during the holiday season.

From now through December 31st, you can donate pet food at any of Banfield's locations. To locate the nearest Banfield Pet Hospital to you, CLICK HERE. With Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, our donations will help make the holiday season a little bit better for our senior citizens and their pets.

What a wonderful idea. I'm off to see if there are any locations near me. Thanks for sharing.

This is a great idea, and somehow they need to find a way to make it work for more than just the holiday season. It is a proven fact that a pet is good for the elderly, and more just might have one with help in the cost of feeding them.

I just started using dogreatgood.com for searching on the internet as they agree there is a need to help animals and will donate to pet rescue charities when using it to search.

Glad to hear of a way to help out pet organizations with something as simple as searching the internet.
