Are dogs even more like us than chimpanzees?

Recent multiple studies have found that dogs have the same three primary types of social behavior that chimpanzees do:
1) Sociality - they organize into groups where members are loyal to each other.
2) Synchronization - they follow shared social rules that strengthen group unity.
3) Constructive activity - they cooperate to achieve goals within the group

Cooperation, attachment to people, understanding verbal and non-verbal communications, and being able to imitate are just a few of the social behaviors people and dogs share. It's thought that these similarities are a result of dogs and humans adapting to the same living conditions over the years as dogs were domesticated by humans, and now serve as a model for understanding human social behavior.

Dogs are pack animals, I'm not seeing socialization the way you describe it.

Doing a little visiting this am from my new SB widget, which I have a question about. Hoping you can help me understand how it works. I'm a real newbie with it.

I thought A list blog had a requirement to put the widget on their blogs, B list could use badge/button; but as I've been visiting blogs this am, I'm not seeing any widgets?

And..my category is travel, but only a portion of the blogs listed on my widget are travel blogs. So, the part that says Ohio...is where you're listed; I thought that meant Ohio Travel Blogs? But, the titles are really varied, so does it just mean those of us listed there are from Ohio? Could you look at the widget on my blog and help me understand?

    Thanks,
    Sandy

Well Sandy, I would suggest you contact Mel, the creator and owner of Slogbite for any questions on the widget criteria and explanations. But my interpretation of the Ohio category would be all blog owners that list themselves as being from Ohio. Sorry I couldn't help more, but I haven't been with Slogbite that long myself.

My mom used to say that my dog Bella was so like me that she sometimes wondered if someone had taken some of my eggs and somehow spliced them with a dog's to produce Bella.
