At first, senior dog food all had low protein levels. That has been discovered not to be the best for senior dogs so many/most of the foods have changed the protein back to more normal levels. Some have not so as always read your labels. I personally would never use a senior food with protein levels of 18% but most aren't doing that any longer.<BR/>I've been using Honest Kitchen with my two elderly goldens and I've been really happy with that.
