I know they put it in many natural and organic cat foods, but I never would have guessed what I saw this morning.

I had just washed some spinach, and had it drying on the kitchen counter. I turned my back for a second, and when I came back to the sink, Lola had jumped up on the counter, snatched a leaf and was eating it.

I've been giving all the cats a fresh catnip leaf every few days, and she may have thought that's what it was, but she really seemed to enjoy it and ate the whole thing. When it was gone, she went back for more. Just goes to show you a cat knows what's naturally good for them.

I'm not proud of the fact that she jumped up on the counter, but I'm having a devil of a time breaking her of it, and now she's helping herself to our food. With Lola, every day is a new experience.

Wordless Wednesday

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_RPHFBMcRSLg/SJmIfGvV7YI/AAAAAAAABeI/3dXprt0tJEo/s320/image0161515.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5231362510134046082" />
(photo origin unknown)

Pets ruined your carpet? Call Empire Today

Having a pet, or in my case multiple pets, in the household takes its toll on the furniture and floors, especially carpet. Even the most reliably house trained dog and cat can have an accident from time to time if left home alone for too long, or when they're not feeling well. I had first hand experience with this recently with my elderly cat Jackie's stomach virus where we had several hours of vomiting and diarrhea. Once I knew she was ill, I confined her to one room, but the damage had already been done to my carpeting during the night while we slept. And those of you who have adopted a puppy or older dog who hasn't had the benefit of proper house training know all too well that accidents will happen until they are trained. Even cats who naturally prefer their litter box can sometimes have streaks where they have mishaps. It all leaves it's mark on our furniture and flooring, and we pet owners are willing to share our homes in spite of their little indiscretions. But we are likely to have to replace furniture and flooring more often than people without pets.

So when that time comes, what could be more convenient than carpet from Empire, a company who will come right to your home, and they just happen to guarantee the lowest prices. Call 1-800-558-2300 Empire- Today! You've probably heard the jingle on television in their commercials and associate them with carpeting. But did you know they also offer ceramic, laminate, and hardwood flooring, window treatments, along with bath and shower liners? Empire today brings the samples right to your home where you can match them up perfectly with your furniture, draperies and wall coverings. And best of all there's no waiting weeks for installation - they'll be back the next day to install your new flooring. Because they have no overhead from having a retail location, they pass the savings on to us. If you visit their website, you will learn about the Empire process, you can schedule a free in-home appointment, and find special online order discounts. Right now they're offering $250 off hardwood flooring in addition to their regular low warehouse-direct prices. There's a 60% off sale now through August 17th on select styles of carpeting, and a 60% off sale through September 7th on select styles of laminate flooring. We're planning to knock down a couple of walls to expand our living room, and I want to put a laminate flooring in. This sale is perfect timing for me, and I hate to shop, so the in-home feature really appeals to me.

Empire Today is a member of the BBB Reliability Program, and their customer service is dedicated to the highest customer satisfaction, as indicated by their many awards:
* 2008 American Business Award finalist - Best Overall Company
* 2008 American Business Award WINNER - Best Customer Service Organization (ethics)
* 2006 Torch Award Winner for Market Place Ethics
* 2007 Angie's List Super Service Award
* 2007 American Business Award finalist

With their superior quality, value and customer service track record since 1959, I don't see how I can go wrong calling Empire Today for our remodeling project.

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://blog.ourdoglog.com/2008/08/pets-ruined-your-carpet-call-empire.html" title="Pets ruined your carpet?
