We received the Arte-y-pico Award

First of all, we'd like to apologize for not posting since late last week. Our little senior citizen Jackie, now 19, was under the weather with some kind of stomach bug, and needed to be watched closely. There was a lot of cleanup needed too, as you can imagine with her losing her stomach contents and those from the business end for several hours. Then she slept for about 10 hours straight, got up and had a little bit of food and a lot of water, and went back to sleep until this morning. But all is well today. We heard her using the scratching pad at 5:30 this morning, then she came and sat on me, which is my queue to get up and feed her and the rest of the bunch.

And we got an award from our dear friend Happy!

We received the " Forever Friends Award"

We received the Forever Friends Award in memory of our little man Fritz from our dear friends the Canine Kids. It means so much to us that we received this award in his honor.

We know another one of our friends who has suffered a loss recently, and would like to present the award to Robin at Dog is my teacher, in memory of her sweet dog Tara who passed shortly after her 18th birthday.

Rest in peace Tara and Fritz. Maybe they're running and playing together.

Wonderful Site Award

We just received the "Wonderful Site Award" from our friends at Jan's Funny Farm. Jan and the gang are very active in animal rescue and adoption and causes that involve our furry friends. Please give them a visit. This award was created by Gentle Annie, who has her own website with beautiful pictures and poetry about pets and life that's worth checking out as well.

After much deliberation and backbiting here between the dogs and cats, it was finally decided to pass this award on to two great sites:

The Cat Realm - These crazy cats have a real knack for entertaining their visitors; their world cruises, gala events and special effects that their "servants" create are legendary. If you haven't visited them before, we highly recommend you stop by. You'll be glad you did.
